A Cam sensor, inlet signal invalid for synchronization, 2.A9. 8 P0. 01. 6 Crankshaft intake correlation value outside ref range, 2.A8. 2 intake VANOS jammed mechanically, 2.A9. B exhaust camshaft sensor signal invalid for synchronization, 2.A9. 9 P0. 01. 7 Crankshaft position sensor and exhaust camshaft, correlation value outside reference range, 2.A8. 7 exhaust VANOS jammed mechanically. In this article, Ill go over the steps involved with replacing the VANOS solenoids on BMW E9.Be sure to work with a cool engine.Replacing the VANOS solenoids is similar for both.I will highlight how to replace and clean the exhaust VANOS solenoid.Remove engine covers.See our tech article on engine cover removing.CLICK HERE FOR PARTS FOR THIS ARTICLE CLICK HERE FOR BMW E9.PARTSFigure 1.
